We install Generac, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton whole-home generators across Charlotte, Sarasota, and Lee counties. Every install includes the transfer switch, gas hookup coordination, pad, conduit, and the certified startup — no second contractor required.
Want just the inlet box for a portable? We do that too, sized to your panel and your generator output.
Whole-home vs. portable
Whole-home (standby): A permanent unit on a concrete pad outside your house, running on natural gas or LP. Senses an outage, fires up automatically in ~10 seconds. Best for hurricane country.
Portable with inlet: A portable generator you store in the garage, plugged into a permanent inlet box when needed. Lower cost, but requires manual setup during a storm.

How much does a generator cost?
A complete installed whole-home generator in SWFL typically runs $9,500 – $16,000 depending on kW size (usually 18kW–26kW for a 3-bed home), gas line work, and panel/ATS configuration. We give a fixed quote after a 30-minute site visit. Financing options are available through our partners.
Frequently asked
What size generator do I need?
Most 3-bed Florida homes need 18kW–22kW to run AC, kitchen, well/sewer, and outlets. Larger homes with 2+ AC units may need 24kW–26kW. We do a load calc as part of the quote.
How loud is a standby generator?
Modern Generac and Kohler units run around 62–66 dB at 23 feet — about the same as a typical AC condenser.
Do you handle the gas line?
Yes. We coordinate with your gas company or LP provider and schedule the trenching/connection so it all happens together.
How often does it need service?
Once a year, plus an oil change at 200 hours of runtime. We offer annual maintenance plans.
